Dreadhalls is a horror game for the Oculus Rift currently in development, inspired by the roguelike and dungeon crawler genres.
You will wake up in a scarcely lit dungeon. Find its exit, and avoid the creatures that dwell in it. Your only weapons will be stealth, your own courage, and a faint light that you’ll have to keep fed with oil, lest you want the darkness to engulf you.
Dreadhalls is an intense and scary experience, not for the faint of heart. You have been warned!
- Inmerse yourself in a horror environment: The unique experience of Virtual Reality Presence will make you feel like you really are inside a dark, damp dungeon, no matter where you look.
- Explore procedural levels: Every time you play Dreadhalls, the map will be different. You’ll never know what to expect after turning the next corner or opening the next door.
- Survive: You are not alone in this dungeon. Be aware of the creatures that creep in the darkness, hide from them, and run away if they see you.
Dreadhalls was originally developed for the 2013 VRJam game contest organized by Oculus VR and Indiecade, where it obtained an Honorable Mention. After the great reception it got from the players, I decided to turn the prototype into a full commercial game.
